How this was made:This beautiful dragon was handsculpted with polymerclay around a wire armature, then painted with mica powders before being sprayed with a sealant, and coated in epoxy resin, to ensure maximum strength and durability of its spines and limbs.
In the East, dragons are typically associated with luck, royalty, good fortune and prosperity - quite the reverse to how they are seen in the West, as rather more threatening creatures!
This dragon was made with the eastern dragon archetype in mind - a benevolent and mystical creature, and an omen of great things to come.
The name 'Yunshe' translates to 'Cloud Snake' as this dragon dwells high up in the clouds of the Spirit Region. Able to fly without wings, she snakes her way through the cloudy landscape in the most ethereal way, her iridescent body glinting in the sunlight as it slowly bends and curves in flight. It has been said that the flight of this Eastern dragon is so calming and hypnotic to watch, that many have fallen into deep trances just from observing her for two seconds!
